My brother complained about 'all the white' in my illustrations at the craft fair (which, by the way, was a complete catastrophe but for the contact to a young lady with a design store who is interested in selling my postcards - everything is not completely lost.), so I started trying out new things lately. Nobody should say I don't mind what my greatest fans have to say.
Background is something I immensely appreciate in other people's illustrations. But every time I try it, the whole thing goes either all grey or way too sweet and kitsch for me.
'You're the sun, the moon and the stars to me' seems acceptable, style wise, the title is my tribute to Valentine's day, so it's sweetness is acceptable as well. After all, this is my space and I could declare Bonny Tyler to be acceptable if I wished to.
So what do you think? Honestly, please.
