To counter a slight hangover (Germany and its beer have won me over, once again), I carried this machine through the apartment all day today. Not that there were so many holes to drill, it just felt good. Like John Wayne. Only that there were no bad guys around. I regretted a bit that no one came to the door. I would have loved to open with this thing in hand.
First attempts at order were made today. One table that needed drilling holes (glee!), the other one is just a long plank of wood put on Muji boxes. - Nifty scheme to save space.
The non-existent daylight (from 8 am to 3:30 pm - if it's a joke, I don't think it's funny) in Berlin forced me to take action on the photo front, and the construct you see in the photo above is a light box I made with the help of this tutorial. Oh, the joys of daylight light bulbs are inestimable!
I used transparent paper instead of interfacing, and I glued it to the inside of the box, because it looks less messy. But it works wonderfully.
No shadows, light and good colors. Stop grinning. I do realize this photo is not a masterpiece, it's a try. But it's full of hope, don't you see ? Hope for a good future in product photography (I get emotional when I have a hangover. So let's meet again tomorrow. Carey, you won yesterday's gift, will you let me know your address, please ? On monday I'll have Internet in my own apartment and then I'll start answering your comments and emails for good. So just hang in there with me for another day.).
